Pure relaxation and pure nature – perfect places for hiking and exploring

Hotel Fünf10 is the ideal starting point for hiking and biking tours in the great outdoors. Hikers will enjoy rambling along the popular Rothaarsteig hiking trail, which is almost directly on our doorstep. The source of the River Sieg and the source of the River Eder aren’t far from our hotel.

Bison World in the Rothaar Mountains, which is home to Western Europe’s only free-roaming herds of bison, offers a wonderfully wild day out – guaranteed.

On the Kyrill Trail, hikers will be able to discover how nature is finding itself again and evolving following a natural disaster – in this case, Cyclone Kyrill in 2007. A storm-damaged area spanning roughly 3 ha remains untouched near the Hohenroth forester’s lodge. See for yourself how the forest is recovering on the approximately 2 km long Kyrill Trail.

For cyclists

The local Netphen region also offers superb cycling tours. Take a look at some of the options at: https://www.outdooractive.com/de/radtouren/netphen/radtouren-in-netphen/1417851/.

For rainy days

We’ve also got plenty suggestions for activities you can do when the weather’s not on your side: Siegen Museum of Contemporary Art and Siegerland Museum in the Upper Castle, for instance, are both located in Siegen and well worth a visit. Siegen’s Old Town and Castle Park are wonderful places to take a wander too.
